The Island's Information Commissioner says the number of personal data breaches has almost doubled in the last year - and public authorities are behind 70 per cent of them.
In an update posted to its website, the organisation says between April and June, 61 data breaches were reported to it.
It says around 800 people were affected, and several incidents are still under investigation.
In its post, the office says an increased number of reports could be down to better outreach and engagement on the Island.
