One person was rescued and treated for injuries following a house fire in Willaston yesterday.
Firefighters from Douglas attended the scene and discovered one casualty on the ground floor of the property whilst the fire which was confined to the kitchen was out on arrival.
The occupant was treated by paramedics before being taken to Noble's Hospital for precautionary checks for smoke inhalation and their injuries aren't thought to be serious.
Crews, who were at the incident for around an hour, were then able to ventilate smoke from the home.
