Two people appealing against Peel's sewage works being granted planning permission have lost an appeal to limit their legal costs.
David and Selina Jones took the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture to court over the decision to give the green light to the project.
However, they were refused special court costs protection under the Aarhus international convention - and appealed against that court decision.
But Deemster Cross said their appeal was doomed to fail and upheld the ruling.
