 
                            A Peel man has appeared in court charged with assault, resisting police and carrying an offensive weapon.
Darren James Carnochan of St German’s Place appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
He faces two counts of possessing an offensive weapon, two of assaulting a woman, three of criminal damage and a single charge of resisting police in the execution of their duty on June 11.
Mrs Hughes remanded the 39 year old in custody and he’ll appear in court again on June 23.
