Patients on the Isle of Man are being given 'greater control' and 'improved accessibility' to their medical records.
That's according to the Department of Health and Social Care which is rolling out more features through its Patient Access system.
The system already lets users book their appointments and order repeat medication online - from the end of October patients will be able to see details of their interaction with the GP.
Details of the appointment, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, medication and test results will be logged - the only thing they won't see is GP notes or other correspondence.
Lab tests - including blood and pathology - will also be made available via Patient Access at the same time as they are reviewed and actioned by the GP; doctors will also be able to leave patients notes.
