Parole committee looks for new members

Could you help decide whether prisoners are ready to be released from prison?

The Isle of Man Parole Committee is looking for new volunteer members, who'll assesses requests for parole from long term inmates.

It says it's looking for people with a variety of life experience and who can understand the different paths that land people in custody.

If you're interested, there's a drop-in session on Wednesday, September 17 from 2.30pm to 4.30pm at the Department of Home Affairs headquarters in Tromode.
