New parking regulations are being brought in at Noble's Park.
Douglas Borough Council says it's to clamp down on the growing use of the location as an unauthorised long-term parking and storage site, particularly by motorhomes and oversized commercial vehicles and trailers.
Parking for those using the park for leisure and associated activities will be largely unaffected but most areas will become disc zones allowing a maximum stay of six hours.
Meanwhile, the rules also mean there will be a maximum stay of 24 hours in a section of the paddock area and signs will be put up to indicate where the restrictions are.
On-site contractors and other authorised commercial operators will, however, be able to apply for a permit exempting them from the restrictions by applying to parks@douglas.gov.im.
The authority adds - subject to planning approval - there may be provision for permitting recreational use of of motorhomes and camper vans there but not for storage.
