The rubbish from this year's Parish Walk was down from 2.4 tonnes to just 360kg.
It comes following organisers introducing a number of sustainable initiatives for this year's event to reduce its environmental impact.
Some waste was composted or recycled, while collapsible reusable cups were used rather than single use plastic water bottles.
Further, 262 entrants opted to give a £5 donation to the Isle of Man Woodland Trust, which went towards planting almost 300 saplings.
