With just under a week to go until this year’s Manx Telecom Parish Walk – today an alternative version is taking place.
A group of horse riders are tackling the 85 mile course on four legs rather than two.
Local riders are completing the challenge to raise awareness and try to highlight road safety for horses and other vulnerable road users – asking people to take the time to slow down to pass.
Vicky Fleming is from the British Horse Society and has organised the event – she told us what had sparked the idea:
