A firefighter wearing 15kg of equipment made it all the way to the Sloc in the Parish Walk over the weekend.
Fireman Nick Hayes donned his fireproof suit and oxygen tank to raise nearly £2,700 out of a £500 target so far, for the Firefighter's Charity and The Great North Air Ambulance - having walked nearly 23 miles.
Callum Gawne won the 85-mile endurance event by finishing it in 15 hours, 49 minutes.
And Samantha Bowden came first in the Ladies' category with a time of 16 hours, 35 minutes, making her joint-second overall.
