Police are warning parents about toxic chat groups for youngsters containing derogatory and offensive language as well as inappropriate images.
On Facebook, officers say the primary school social media trend sees WhatsApp and iMessage groups encouraging youngsters to add as many people as possible.
They've issued advice over the groups, saying parents and carers should check youngsters' phones for large group chats and discuss them.
And they add raising awareness of the groups can help keep kids safe both online and offline.
