History will be made on the Mountain Course today when paralysed rider Phil Armes takes part in the Manx Grand Prix parade lap.
Phil was left seriously disabled after crashing in the Ulster Grand Prix 18 years ago.
This afternoon he will become the first paraplegic to ride solo around the TT course when he lines up alongside 89 other former winners.
The Norwich man won the 250 newcomers’ class in 1984 and told us he can’t wait for today’s big event:
