52 teachers on Island were recorded as off sick due to anxiety or stress in the last 12 months.
That's according to Education, Sport & Culture Minister, Graham Cregeen MHK, in response to a question in the House of Keys earlier this week.
He added a physical activity programme to complement existing well-being support for teachers has now been extended across all schools and staff at the department following a three-year pilot scheme.
His comments come after Douglas East MHK Clare Barber asked him how many educators had accessed operational health, staff support services or been signed off for stress or anxiety in the last year.
