The government's approved over three million pounds in loans for Manx National Heritage over the past four years.
The figures were given in Tynwald this week by Treasury Minister Chris Thomas, in response to a question from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse.
Mr Thomas says most of the funds were for recurring minor capital works schemes - this refers to building works.
He went on to say MNH isn't part of government and so doesn't bid for funding in the same way:
