Over 3,000 total surgeries have been delivered as part of a programme to cut down waiting times.
The 'Restoration and Recovery' programme was given over £18m in government funding in October, which has been used to introduce additional teams to perform surgeries, treatments and consultations.
Its second phase, which ran from August 2022 to May 2023, focused on orthopaedic, ophthalmology, and general surgery.
Government says the programme has resulted in a 79% reduction in the cataract waiting list and 23% reduction in the general surgery inpatient list.
