Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall says his department spent hundreds of thousands of pounds resurfacing a road in Derbyhaven because it was on the Island's priority list.
During this week's House of Keys sitting, he was questioned about the project by Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse.
Mr Crookall said last year, £276,000 was spent improving Derbyhaven Road in Castletown because it met the DOI's criteria.
He explained how the list of priorities was put together:
