Just over £230,000 is set aside each year for Manx sea fisheries enforcement.
That's according to Environment, Food & Agriculture Minister, Geoffrey Boot MHK, who was quizzed on the matter by Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper in Tynwald earlier this week.
Following numerous queries from Mr Hooper regarding the Island sea fishing industry, Mr Boot also revealed the vessel used to enforce the laws has sailed 47 times so far this year.
The minister added it's anticipated the number of patrols will increase post-Brexit to 'demonstrate appropriate monitoring and surveillance associated with retaining EU legislation'.
