Over 130 santas limbering up for charity dash

More than 130 Santas will take part in today’s annual charity Santa Dash in Douglas.

The event is sponsored by Isle of Man Bank, which has put up a total of nearly £3,000 in prize money with cheques of £300, £200 and £100 going to the first three finishers.

There are prizes for the best dressed male and female runners with a further £1,800 being awarded for pre-determined, but secret, finishing positions.

The elite athletes in the field will be bidding to break the course record of 4 minutes 28 seconds set by John Halligan in 2007.
