Film fans in the Isle of Man will finally get the chance to see the Manx-made film that’s up for an Oscar nomination at the cinema.
CinemaNX has announced it will show two exclusive viewings of Chico & Rita this weekend at Broadway Cinema.
Recently, 3FM broke the story that the animation had been nominated in the Best Animation category at this year’s Academy Awards.
They take place in Hollywood in just over three weeks’ time.
The film is set in 1940s Cuba and tells the story of a young piano player who falls for a talented singer.
The entire picture is heavily music based and takes the characters from Havana to New York and Paris and beyond.
Both showings are on at 5pm with tickets priced at £7 from the box office.
