A multi-agency operation has been launched to make sure the Island's roads are safe.
Operation Uplift aims to tackle anti-social driving, fatal offences such as speeding, improve the standards of vehicles and ensure drivers have correct licences, insurance and tax.
The Island wide operation will run over the coming months, with police doing roadside checks.
During checks at the Grandstand today, 57 vehicles were stopped, with 11 having issues to rectify, 2 failing emissions tests, 2 having expired road tax and one receiving a fixed penalty notice.
Drivers are asked to check their admin and that their vehicle is fit for the road.
