Around one in seven Island residents are living in poverty, according to a new government report.
The latest Council of Ministers' Annual Report on Poverty Measures outlines what the government is doing to help people who are struggling with the cost of living.
It says two different ways of analysing poverty shows between 14 and 15 per cent of Island residents fall into the category.
The report is due to be laid before Tynwald when the court sits in May.
