Commissioner Rob Callister has announced his intention to stand for the House of Keys this year.
He will run in his home constituency of Onchan where he's been serving as commissioner since 2012.
He says he believes his work over the past three years will serve him well as he's come to 'understand and appreciate' the 'important' role central and local government plays in the wider community.
