The oldest surviving winner of the Manx Grand Prix has died.
Ernie Lyons passed away last Thursday – only one month shy of his 100th birthday.
Ernie first made his debut in the 1938 Senior Manx Grand but failed to finish his race. He returned in 1946 where he took the top spot.
The Manx Motor Cycle Club has extended its condolences to his family and friends at this sad time.
