The Office of Fair Trading is supporting Debt Awareness Week.
This year's campaign focuses on how debt can happen to anyone, and aims to put the problem 'on the agenda.'
Throughout the month, trained advisors from the OFT have spoken to staff from local organisations and companies about what's on offer through the Debt Counselling Service.
Counsellor Ruth Martin says people often feel worried about opening up about money worries, but the service is there to help and is free of charge and completely confidential.
