The Office of Fair Trading says it's written to Island car finance providers asking how they're dealing with cases where it might have been mis-sold.
That's according to OFT chair Tim Glover, responding to a Tynwald question for written response from Douglas North MHK John Wannenburgh.
It comes after the UK's regulator published its Motor Finance Consumer Redress Scheme last month.
Mr Glover says if Island residents feel they've been mis-sold finance, they should contact their car finance providers directly - with the OFT able to provide template letters for this.
