Both Undergone Major Surgery
3fm have received an update on the conditions of sidecar boys Nick Crowe and Mark Cox, the duo who were both seriously injured in this years TT.
Local man Nick has had four operations so far, one of which was to remove his lower right arm.
He’s also had two donor bones inserted in his right leg.
His passenger Mark Cox has had an operation on his left leg – making it four inches shorter than it should be.
His pelvis, right hip and right arm have been repositioned, plated and pinned.
38 year old Nick Crowe is at least able to be mobile at times with the use of a wheelchair
Mark isn’t at that stage yet.
Both are receiving intensive physiotherapy and undergoing further operations and will continue to do so over the coming months aiming to eventually get back on their feet.
They are said to be eager to make a full recovery, be it slow but steady.
