Members of the Royal College of Nursing are staging a 12 hour strike today over pay.
It's the first of three days of action, with the next two coming next month.
The walkout is taking place from 8am-8pm, with some of Manx Care's services being disrupted as a result.
Inpatient services at both Nobles and Ramsey Cottage hospital will remain open, as will the Jane Crookall Maternity Unit, mental health services at Manannan Court, chemotherapy provision and emergency/trauma surgery.
Most other outpatient services will be unavailable.
