A local nurse has put her name forward to represent Douglas East in September's General Election.
Clare Bettison lives in the constituency and has worked as a registered nurse at Noble's Hospital since she moved to the Island nine years ago.
She says she believes the Island is facing very specific challenges that can be viewed as 'obstacles or opportunities' and with her medical experience she could be of great value while the Health Service is 'under such scrutiny'.
