Education Minister Daphne Caine says gym facilities at the National Sport Centre will see their opening hour cut next month.
In the House of Keys, she faced questions from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse about the NSC Fitness Zone.
She said the facility would see its weekend evening hours cut back from January 4.
But when asked if it was to save money, she said it was because of lower demand on Saturday and Sunday evenings:
