Northern road works will take over a year to complete

Extensive road works in the north of the Island will take over a year to complete.

The Department of Infrastructure will start the work on Lezayre Road on September 26th - it's part of efforts to improve the lifespan and ride quality of the road: 
 
 
The scheme involves 'full depth reconstruction' of sections of the carriageway as well as new drainage and utilities and improvements to the footways and kerbs. 
 
Plans are on display in Ramsey Town Hall with officers located there between 2pm and 4pm each day to discuss the project with anyone who has concerns. 
 
Project coordinator Jim Davidson says traffic management will be in place to try and ease the disruption for motorists:
