There may be a good chance of seeing the Northern Lights from the Island tonight.

An increase in solar activity means the aurora might be visible to the north of the Island.

This evening's weather forecast is predicting clearer skies with less cloud, giving residents a better chance of observing the ghostly lights.

The phenomenon should be most active from 6pm until midnight tonight.
