Treasury Minister, Alf Cannan, has called more support for job seekers in the North a 'really exciting' development.
It comes after the announcement the job centre is expanding its job club initiative to include twice-weekly sessions at Ramsey Town Hall starting today.
Mr Cannan added the town and the surrounding area was identified as being in need of such services due to it having higher levels of unemployment than in other Island regions.
The sessions will take place from 1-4pm on Tuesdays and from 9.30am-Midday and 1-4pm on Thursdays in the Ramsey Town Hall Library.
