Nobles Hospital update to be delivered at next Tynwald sitting

The Health Minister will have to provide an update on progress at Noble’s Hospital at next month’s sitting of Tynwald.

David Anderson will make a statement after politicians voted in favour of an independent external audit of the health service.

It follows heavy criticism from clinicians at the hospital who raised concerns about patient safety – with claims it bared similarities to the scandal hit Mid-Staffordshire NHS Trust.

South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft pushed for the audit and says hopefully now the public will be reassured:
