The Department of Infrastructure says it doesn't have a timetable for making public rights of way official at a site in Ramsey.
A Freedom of Information request asked for details about Poyll Dooey - the Doi says it received a request to formalize the public rights of way there in 2023.
In its response, the department says it's still considering the request but doesn't have a dedicated member of staff to look at it.
It says that inevitably means delays, adding it can't give a timescale for a decision on the paths' status.
