'Appropriate antibiotics' to treat Strep A are available on Island.
That's according to Health Minister Lawrie Hooper following a written question from MHK John Wannenburgh.
It comes as there are reports of antibiotic shortages in the UK amid an outbreak of the infection.
Mr Hooper says Manx Care and Public Health have been working with schools to encourage older children to take tablets, to preserve liquid antibiotic stocks which will be given to younger children.
