Medical information from the lsle of Man will not be shared with NHS Digital.
That's according to the government - who issued a statement yesterday.
Locals are reassured their data is 'safely ring-fenced' from the planning and research project.
It follows concerns raised about the collection of patient data for a central NHS digital database - however, this is something that applies to GP practices in England only.
However, officials say while patient access on Island mirrors systems in the UK - it is entirely separate.
Only a residents' surgery and the patient themselves can see information.
Health Minister David Ashford says he can 'categorically confirm' the Island is not taking part in the process.
