Residents are being told there will be no routine GP appointments this afternoon.
They'll be attending their latest quarterly education session - which is taking place virtually.
Officials add anyone who needs to see a doctor urgently should ring their surgery for an appointment with the on-call GP.
Practices will remain open during the afternoon for people to collect test results, order prescriptions and book future appointments.
