No preconditions for new ministers says Chief

No preconditions were sought by the new Council of Ministers prior to the MHKs taking up their roles.

That's according to the Chief Minister who responded to a question in Tynwald this morning.

Rushen MHK Juan Watterson wanted to know what preconditions were sought or granted for each of the eight ministers.

However Howard Quayle said having listened to views during the election process for his position he has updated the government code to take account of new views on collective responsibility.
