The government says it has no plans to change the way it negotiates pay with unions and other bodies.
Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas put a question to Chief Minister Alf Cannan about collective pay bargaining.
In his response, Mr Cannan said there were various committees and bodies across government that negotiated with staff collectively.
But he confirmed government had no plans to alter any of its bargaining processes.
