The Department of Infrastructure has no immediate plans to widen the TT access road or its opening at Braddan Bridge.
That's according to government officials who say it may be considered in the future and is seen as an important asset to residents and visitors during practice and race periods during the TT and Festival of Motorcycling.
Future plans for the stretch were discussed in Tynwald in October last year where Infrastructure Minister, Ray Harmer MHK, previously said plans were being drawn up to make it a 'truly two-way carriageway'.
The access point is the key route for motorists looking to safely cross the section of the circuit between the Quarterbridge roundabout and Braddan school when roads are closed.
