Routine GP appointments will not be available on Wednesday afternoon.
The Health department said it is to allow doctors to attend an education session.
As a result, appointments will not be available between 13:00 and 18:00 (BST).
Anyone who needs to see a doctor urgently should ring their surgery for an appointment with the on-call GP.
Practices will remain open for patients to collect test results, make future appointments and order repeat prescriptions as normal.
