The Isle of Man Government will not be appointing a Foreign Minister.
Onchan MHK Zac Hall raised the issue of introducing the post yesterday.
He wanted to know if an upcoming reform of the Council of Ministers would see the position included.
However he was told that foreign policy is a matter for sovereign states and as the Island is not it is not appropriate.
Questioning the Chief Minister Mr Hall says he wanted to know why we weren’t following our neighbouring crown dependencies:
