The chairman of Manx Utilities says he won't reconsider security deposits paid by people when their power is connected.
In the House of Keys this week, John Wannenbergh faced questions from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse about the charges.
Those getting electricity connected pay returnable deposits of £120 or £200 which are eventually refunded.
But Mr Wannenbergh said he wouldn't consider changing the fee, despite other providers not having similar policies:
