The Island's infrastructure minister says poles for speed signs being put up don't mean a public consultation into 20mph zones is a foregone conclusion.
Michelle Haywood released a statement yesterday after Onchan MHK Rob Callister criticised the poles being put up around Douglas and Onchan.
Dr Haywood says her department hasn't predetermined the outcomes of the current consultation.
And she says no more posts will be installed until issues have been dealt with.
