Education, Sport and Minister Daphne Caine says she doesn't know how many cars have been locked in overnight at the Villa Marina - but nobody's complained in the last six months.
Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse asked for the information in a question for written response.
In her reply, Mrs Caine said the venue doesn't record how many motorists have found their vehicles trapped when the gates are locked.
And she added there are signs about parking at the Douglas complex, as well as information on its website and in social media posts.
