Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team now have to restructure staffing rotas
After nearly a year out of action Ramsey’s only Nightclub is set to reopen next week.
A number of factors had resulted in the closing down of Nightlife last year, however Heron and Brearley have said following an outpouring of support for the venue they’ve made the decision to reopen.
This news however has not been met so favourably by the Northern Neighborhood Policing Team, with significantly low levels of weekend crime reported since its closure.
It now means that they will have to restructure their staffing rotas, which had previously been formulated without Nightlife’s late opening times factored in.
Inspector Richard Power says he understands the rationale behind the decision as pub trade in Ramsey has been in a period of decline since the clubs closure.
He has however warned revelers that there will be a strict stance taken on any anti-social behaviour.(AUDIO ABOVE)
