The redevelopment of the former Newson’s building on North Quay has been approved by planners.
Plans submitted by Kelman’s Ltd have been given the green light by the Planning Committee who voted yesterday.
Onchan MHK Rob Callister, who chairs the committee, confirmed that Number 27 North Quay will be refurbished, however, Number 28 North Quay could not be saved and will be demolished.
Mr Callister added that most people appear to be in favour of the decision and that he’s looking forward to seeing the transformation over the coming years.
