The government says it may update the law to make sure jury members don't undermine trials on Facebook or Twitter.
The suggestions is one of 13 recommendations in a report due to be considered by Tynwald later this month.
A select committee looking into the way juries work said an overhaul of laws dating back to 1872 is needed to make it illegal for jurors to disrupt trial using the internet and social media.
The Department of Home Affairs says it accept there's a need to update the law, but says it'll have to be part of an ongoing process looking at the Island's justice system.
