The new leader of the Liberal Vannin Party says she wants to find more credible candidates to stand for the party in the next election.
South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft is taking over the position from Onchan MHK Peter Karran following a vote at the party’s AGM on Sunday.
Outlining her priorities going forward Mrs Beecroft says she will continue to tackle collective responsibility in its current form – an issue she says is a fundamental problem in government.
There will also be a push to get more people to represent the party going into the 2016 general election.
However away from that she says nothing else will really change:
Ramsey Remembrance service to be marked by maroon rockets
MEDS phone line to be down temporarily
Committee to examine link between poverty and poor academic performance
Police advice for trick-or-treaters to stay safe
How will Manx Care reduce the number of negligence claims?
Manx Language Festival to be held next week
Manxman sailings in doubt from tomorrow
