A Pulrose teenager has been put on probation after fleeing police as he defied a driving ban.
19 year old Daniel Shane Philip Friel of Heather Crescent appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood at Douglas Courthouse.
He admitted driving while disqualified after officers spotted him on Peel Road in Douglas on April 4 - he'd been handed a two year ban last March.
The court heard Friel abandoned the car and ran off, but later handed himself in to police.
He was put on probation and banned for a year, and ordered to pay £50 prosecution costs.
